no, most if not all of the netbooks do not have a dvd player in them and require an external USB DVD drive.

no, but i you really need one and don’t feel spending more money on a laptop with an optical drive, then you can get a USB connected DVD player and i think even a burner.

No, Notebooks do not have CD/DVD drives.
Windows netbook licensing agreement lists netbooks as not having an optical drive.
Also, the one in the commercial is $199 with a 2 Year data plan at $39.99/month.
So with taxes and fees, that $199 laptops costs you over $1000 by the time your contract is up.
You can buy it outright for $299.
Don’t be a sucker. Read the fine print.

Not likely, unless it’s an old or refurbished unit. If it is being advertised, check to see all of the technical specifications. If it has a DVD player, this should be listed in the specs. If it is not, assume that the laptop does not come with one.
Many of the netbook manufacturer’s are selling their smaller units without an optical drive – both to make the unit lighter and to make it cheaper.
